Roadmap

Five stages, from this website to a working platform.

Copperbelt is planned in five stages: the website first, then the platform. Each stage should be usable on its own and will be tested before the next begins. Only Stage 1 is under way — this website.

Stage 1 — in progress (this website)Stages 2–5 — planned

Five stages

What each stage is for.

Dates will be confirmed as the project develops. Only the public website exists today; every other stage is a planned capability.

  1. Stage

    1

    In progress — this website

    Public website

Explains the model and the service, and gives buyers, suppliers and partners a first way to get in touch.

    Includes

    • This website, in English and French
    • A “Register your interest” form for buyers, suppliers and partners (preview — not yet connected)
    • A clear, honest entry point for what comes next
  2. Stage

    2

    Planned

    Request intake & supplier offers

Buyers say what they need, where and when. Suppliers keep a profile with their documents and answer with offers. AI agent 1 structures each request and routes it to suppliers who fit.

    Intended to include

    • What · where · when request forms
    • Supplier profiles and documents, kept up to date
    • AI agent 1: structuring each request and routing it

No personal information will be collected until a privacy notice and secure processing arrangements are in place.

  3. Stage

    3

    Core of the platformPlanned

    AI analysis & human review

AI agent 2 compares the offers and flags what is missing. The review team decides in a shared workspace, and every decision is logged with its reasons.

    Intended to include

    • AI agent 2: offer comparison and flags
    • A review workspace and decision log
    • A full audit trail

The AI prepares the case and explains its reasoning. It never approves a deal, a contract or a payment — people do.

  4. Stage

    4

    Planned

    Driver workflow & proof

Approved orders are assigned and dispatched. Drivers send milestones from their phone — even without signal, syncing later — and the proof of delivery closes the order.

    Intended to include

    • Driver assignment and dispatch
    • Milestones from the driver’s phone, synced when the signal returns
    • Proof of delivery, with notifications to each party
  5. Stage

    5

    Later

    Richer visibility

As volumes grow: a native mobile app, continuous GPS, vehicle telematics and links with partners’ systems.

    Intended to include

    • A native mobile app
    • Continuous GPS and vehicle telematics
    • Integrations with partners’ systems

Each stage is meant to be usable on its own. And every completed order adds to the record, so the next check is quicker.

Moving between stages

How each stage earns the next.

  1. 01

    Website first, then the platform

Each stage is built and tested on a limited, real scope before the next one begins.

  2. 02

    Protect information first

Privacy, consent, data-protection and e-signature requirements are addressed with professional advice before any data is collected.

  3. 03

    Keep people accountable

Automation carries routine work. Every decision stays with a named person.

  4. 04

    Add integrations only when needed

Banks, payment services, maps or messaging tools are added only where a stage truly needs them — each one a separate, approved decision.

Still open

Six decisions to take together with partners.

Some of the most important choices have deliberately not been made yet. They will be settled with partners — and with professional legal advice on data protection, the DRC’s digital code and e-signature rules — before the platform handles real transactions.

  1. 01Payment path

Whether buyers pay suppliers directly. Copperbelt would only ever handle funds after legal, regulatory and banking advice.

  2. 02Fee model

Who pays Copperbelt, on what basis, and what recorded evidence makes the fee due.

  3. 03Review authority

Which checks are mandatory, and who can approve, pause, escalate or reject.

  4. 04Supplier visibility

Who sees each request, and who picks the winning offer.

  5. 05Driver model

Employees, contractors, partner carriers or a mix — and who covers vehicles and insurance.

  6. 06First corridor & scope

Which route, goods, transaction sizes, languages and currencies go first.
